9/11 FAMILIES FOR A SECURE AMERICA

We will expose those officials who were responsible for the policies that allowed 9/11 to occur. We will work toward their removal from office and prevent their re-election. We will recommend border security reform and will assist in election efforts of those public officials who support border security laws and regulations and their strict enforcement.

The 9-11 Mental Health and Substance Abuse Program offers reimbursement for out-of-pocket costs incurred for mental health treatment regardless of insurance benefits, immigration status, or residency. The program is for people who were directly affected by 9/11 and those who shared a household with them at the time of the attacks. Eligible participants include those who lost a family member, were injured, lived or worked in the areas near any of the disaster sites or were visiting the areas that day, lost a job or significant income as a direct result of the attacks, or were a rescue, recovery, or morgue worker officially deployed to the sites. Eligible participants may be reimbursed for mental health services they received since 9/11, or for treatment they may want now and can include counseling, medication, acupuncture, or hospitalization with a licensed practitioner of the participantís choice. The 9/11 Mental Health and Substance Abuse Program is funded by the American Red Cross and administered by the Mental Health Association of New York City.

AIRLINE RIDE ACROSS AMERICA

Airline Ride Across America is an effort, albeit symbolic, to bring about a public awareness to the airline crews flying on September 11, 2001; it captures the imagination and support on a national scale. This long distance ride commemorates and pays tribute to the flight crewmembers of the four airliners involved on 9-11 and brings recognition to them for the ultimate sacrifices they made. We will ride for thirty-three (33) days, one day in memory of each crewmember. We will dedicate each week to one of the fateful flights of that day. This is a fund-raising effort to bring about a public awareness of their sacrifice, sustain their memory, and insure that they will not be forgotten. On our bikes and in their honor, we will complete a coast to coast trip symbolic of their mission on that fateful day.
