As you can see by the article below the 120 precinct will no longer be doing graffiti clean ups.

While we understand budget cuts and priorities this will have a big impact on our current clean up program.

Not only did the 120 precinct do many clean ups, they also housed and operated the Clean Teamís tanker truck.

This truck provided power washing for major graffiti removals.

I have contacted the Borough Presidentís Office and offered to find a place to house the truck and have also offered to use it to do the cleanups and share it with the 123 and 122 precincts for future cleanups.

We are waiting for a call back.

At the current time there are 20 locations that we have referred to the Clean Team for clean ups. We need to at least make accommodations to get them done.

In the meantime we will try to pick up the slack and any victims of graffiti should fax us waivers to 718-966-6515.

We are also counting on you to pitch in by spreading the word and volunteering.

We have also left messages with our elected officials to try to work out a plan.

We will keep you posted and feel free to contact us with any questions or ideas. We are all in this together.

Dennis
