We will be out tomorrow with our court ordered offenders and Officer Bailey of the 122 and plan to clean up at least 10 locations (weather permitting)

10:00 AM at the 122 Precinct if you would like to join us.

Our program with the Criminal Court has been working well.

We have offenders every weekend working of their sentences by cleaning up graffiti.

Most of them show up every week.

If they don’t Declarations of Delinquency are issued and they are pulled back into court and in most cases their sentences are increased or jail time is required.

In the rare case when they do not at all they usually wide up behind bars.

As a matter of fact one of the vandals caught Tuesday (see today’s Advance) was one such offender and now faces some significant jail time.

We rescheduled today’s installation of the Q-Star devise for next Friday as all participants could not make it today.

As we noted earlier after this test run we will be looking to purchase some of these devises.

Senator Lanza and Assemblyman Cusick have expressed interest as well.

We continue to work with the new NYPD Graffiti Task Force even though they are not formally in place yet.

Finally Scott will be working on mural # 9 at R.H, Tuggs tomorrow and should have it finished this weekend.

We are looking for additional locations in the 120 and the 123 where we have yet to paint a mural.

Yesterday’s incident at B’Nai Israel represented the worst of Staten Island the “Flags Across Staten Island” Program represents the best.

Hopefully more sponsors will come on board.

Speaking of yesterday’s incident the reward being offered is now $13,000.

Anyone with information can make a confidential call to us at 718-966-6531
