REBUILDING OFFICIALS TO PRESENT DESIGN BRIEFING AND UPDATE ON NATIONAL SEPTEMBER 11 MEMORIAL & MUSEUM; UPDATE ON STRENGTH OF LOWER MANHATTAN
Silverstein Properties and The Maybach Foundation Also to Announce New Initiative to Document the Rebuilding of the World Trade Center Through Photography
Brief Walking Tour of World Trade Center Site to Follow Press Conference at 7 WTC
New Renderings and Animation Available

National September 11 Memorial & Museum President Joe Daniels will present a briefing on activities of the past year, architect Craig Dykers of Sn°hetta will give an update on the design of the entry Pavilion for the National September 11 Memorial Museum, and New York City Deputy Mayor Robert Lieber will present an update on the Downtown economy, during a press briefing hosted by Silverstein Properties, 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 9, at 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street (between Barclay and Vesey Streets), 52nd floor.

In addition, World Trade Center developer Larry Silverstein and The Wilhelm & Karl Maybach Foundation Founder Ulrich Schmid-Maybach will announce a new mentoring program the World Trade Center Documentary Arts Project. The initiative will provide unprecedented access to the WTC site and mentoring opportunities for gifted young photographers who come from disadvantaged backgrounds in the Republic of Georgia, India, Hong Kong and the United States. Compelling artwork by these young photographers of the WTC will be showcased for the first time.

The presentations will be followed at Noon by an informal tour of new tenant spaces at 7 World Trade Center, the first building to be rebuilt at the WTC site, which is now nearly 90% leased, and at 1pm by a tour of the Memorial & Museum construction site at the WTC with Memorial officials and photographers from the Documentary Arts Project.

DVDs with photos, renderings and animation will be available.
