To All,

We were able to clean up 15 locations before the rain this morning.

This brings the total number of sites cleaned to 280 or 75% of the sites reported (375)

Today also marked the 200th site that Where to Turn has cleaned this year.

We have accounted for 71% of the sites cleaned year to date.

There are a few issues to be addressed going forward.

We need to set up a schedule with the 120 as that is the only precinct we have not addressed.

While 87% of the sites in the 122 and 79% of the sites in the 123 have been cleaned only 34% of the sites are completed in the 120.

We also now have so many court ordered volunteers that we will have to coordinate other efforts.

We will be looking to set up beach, park and cemetery cleanups around our graffiti outings.

Also we will supply volunteers to other organizations doing community work.

We currently have funds for the next few outings but will need your continued support to purchase paint and supplies as we no longer are working with the mayor’s office. Although their staff was willing to work with us the person in charge of the paint refuses to work with us in support of our cleanups. So going forward we will need to purchase our own supplies. This is really a sad commentary as we are responsible for more cleanups than any other organization city wide and I would probably say that Staten Island has the best completion rate city wide when it comes to graffiti cleanups.

Finally we really need businesses or organizations to step up and sponsor our last 10 murals.

Scott will be beginning his cross country tour to touch up his murals and wants to complete the Flags Across Staten Island prior to his departure.
