US Senator Charles E. Schumer issued the following statement on the passage of the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act in the House of Representatives this afternoon.

“Today’s vote in the House is a monumental step forward in our effort to provide care for the thousands of selfless heroes who rushed to the World Trade Center, risking life and limb, to help their fellow citizens. It is our moral duty to provide healthcare to those who risked everything to protect us all. We are pushing to bring this bill to the floor of the Senate during the lame duck session. ” – US Senator Charles E. Schumer
