Committee to Examine FEMA Preparedness
WASHINGTONThe Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, led by Chairman Joe Lieberman, ID-Conn., and Ranking Member Susan Collins, R-Me., will hold a hearing entitled Catastrophic Preparedness: How Ready Is FEMA for the Next Big Disaster? on Thursday, March 17, at 2:30 pm. The hearing will examine progress made by the Federal Emergency Management Agency since Hurricane Katrina and steps it must still take to respond effectively to catastrophes.
