For Local Volunteers and Teams

Presented in cooperation with Assemblyman Matthew Titone & World Cares Center's

Wednesday Dec 5, 2012
6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Up to 40 Participants

As Staten Island homeowners affected by Hurricane Sandy begin the long process of rebuilding, many homes are now being stripped of their sheetrock and carpets. World Cares Center has partnered with Assemblyman Matthew Titone and Calvary Presbyterian Church to provide cost-free muck-out and mold remediation training to volunteers who have been assisting Staten Island homeowners. Our goal in presenting a series of training sessions is to ensure that this work is being done safely, correctly, and effectively.

If you have participated in muck-out efforts, or intend to, this training is for you! This training session is designed to provide volunteers with a thorough understanding of:
- the physical and emotional strength a muck-out requires.
-the importance of communication among a muck-out team.
-the facts about mold, safety, and sanitizing that are relevant to muck-out work.

World Cares Center and our partners firmly believe that education, preparation, and collaboration are key to disaster response and recovery. Please join us for this important training session. With proper training, we can all better serve those we aim to help.
